Alternate Uses For Firepots
When making a purchase I typically decide whether to buy based on a few questions. First I will ask myself do I need it? Will I still be thinking about in a few days from now, and how many ways can I use it? That is why when I was contemplating whether to buy a firepot, it was an easy decision. First of all, it can be used indoors and outdoors. But most people do not know the other uses for firepots.
I have heard many times “I can’t have a firepot because I have a little kid and/or a pet that will surely knock it over”. My response is always the same, it is not necessary for you to light your firepot in order to enjoy it. In the case of children or pets, light it in your bedroom and provide a fireplace like ambiance without any of the hassle. Or simply use one of the many suggestions I have listed below.
I can honestly say that my firepots have served a multitude of purposes in my home. A few months ago there was a huge storm and I was hit with the fear of losing power. I knew I did not have a flashlight so I lit the Arani Black Pearl Firepot and knew that I was covered if the power went out. I never did lose power but enjoyed a wonderful evening in, while saving on electricity. The glow from a single firepot was bright enough to allow me to find my way around during the night and to also read my book.
There are a few huge staples of summer in my mind, the smell of grass, crickets chirping, and smores over an open fire. Well, I live in Chicago and the closest thing I come to as a backyard is an asphalt parking lot. Did that stop me? Nope. I purchased some skewers and toasted some marshmallows right there over the open flame. Due to the smokeless, odorless toxin free fuel gel I was able to enjoy ooey gooey marhsmelloey goodnesss right there from the comfort of my couch.
If you want a chic way to keep your bathroom smelling good, simply fill your firepot with some potpourri and leave it be. Remove the steel reservoir and fill the ceramic bowl with potpourri of your choice. Your bathroom will be filled with the bouquet without the stale old look of a wicker basket sitting on the toilet bowl hutch.
Get multiple firepots and line your walkway, deck, or pool. Thanks to the viscosity of the fuel gel there is no need to fear the flame going out when you walk past. Firepots are made of a durable and solid ceramic that is meant to withstand fierce weather which will stand the test of time.
Use your firepot as a planter or vase, simply remove the reservoir fill with soil or water and insert your plant. The look of the glazed ceramic against nature is quite exquisite and provides a very zen and peaceful feeling to your home.
One of the best things about firepots is that they are a steal for the price especially since they have a plethora of uses. Firepots are so versatile you are sure to find the perfect way to use it even if you have kids or pets.
